5 PROTECTIVE LAYERS

 

ALUMINUM SHELL
Unlike other products, the Energy Shield AB shell is made up of 99.9% aluminum. These TWO aluminum layers have tiny
perforations to prevent moisture retention and prevent mold and other bacteria growth. The concept for the aluminum shell
used by Energy Shield AB was originally derived by NASA. Since the days of the Apollo, NASA used this concept to ensure
that comfortable temperatures were maintained inside the command center and that astronauts as well as the space shuttle
equipment was protected from the extreme temperatures of space.

 

BACKING
The TWO Layers of backing on every Energy Shield AB product are made from a patented laminate material. These two
extra layers help add to the standard that you will come to expect from Energy Shield AB's products and professionals.

 

INSULATED CORE
The insulated core is made of a mineral based fiber made from sand or silicone that allows moisture to escape even when the
material is overlapped. This layer is one of the many things that sets our product apart from the competition. Because we chose
to use an insulating layer as the core of our product, we are not just a radiant barrier product, but actually a step up to the
reflective insulation classification. Because of the product used to make this core layer, Energy Shield AB is also a fire performance
tested product. Energy Shield AB meets all requirements for reflective insulation as required by the 2000 International Building
